Common Name: River Red gum, Murray Red gum

Distribution: New South Wales, Northern Territory, Queensland, South Australia, Victoria, Western Australia

General Information: Iconic Gum tree in Australian culture.

Leaves: Alternate, lanceolate to falcate, moderate to dense reticulation, numerous island oil glands.

Bark: Smooth to small branches, white, grey, cream, grey basal bark.

Inflorescences: Auxillary unbranched, 7-11 per umbel, green to yellow, smooth with scar, operculum beaked.

Fruit: Hemispherical with 3-4 valves
