Bark smooth, greyish, shedding in short, curly flakes.Flowers in Spring. Adult leaves alternate, lanceolate, apex pointed, discolourous, dense reticulation, oil glands obscure or absent. Inflorescences: Terminal panicle, 7 per umbel, buds pyriform, obovoid or ovoid, 4 small sepals on the buds. Flowering time Spring, Summer. Fruit: Cupular to truncate-globose, longitudinally wrinkled, valves below rim level.
