Common Name: Gippsland mallee

Distribution: Victoria. Featured specimen, private land, Kingston, Hobart area.

General Information: Tree or mallee to around 10 metres in height.

Bark: Smooth, shiny, coppery to yellow-green, ribbons of bark in upper branches.

Leaves: Opposite or alternate, lanceolate, elliptical to ovate, glossy, green, dense reticulation, oil glands island and intersectional.

Inflorescences: Auxillary, unbranched, pedicellate, buds 7 per umbel, scar present.

Fruit: Peduncle somewhat flattened, cup-shaped, hemispherical, sessile.
