Cunn. ex Woolls Family: Myrtaceae, Genus: Eucalyptus, Subgenus: Symphyomyrtus, Section: Adnataria Common Name: Red ironbark, Ironbark, Mugga, Black ironbark Distribution: NSW, QLD, VIC General Information: Leaves: Petiolate, alternate leaves, concolorous, dull, green to blue or grey green, veins moderately to densely reticulate, island and intersectional oil glands. Bark: Deeply furrowed black, red/rust bark. Inflorescences: 7 buds per umbel, diamond shaped, operculum conical and/or beaked, scar absent. Flowers: White, pink, red, yellow Specimen: Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens, Hobart.
